Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of Juneau County Criminal History. Visiting a page, using a search feature, or reading its material means that you accept these terms. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the website.

NO FCRA USE. Juneau County Criminal History is privately operated and has no connection to a local, Wisconsin, or federal government agency. The website and its advertising partners do not offer tools intended for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other screening regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This resource helps readers locate criminal-record sources for Juneau County, Wisconsin. It is neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation service.

1. What This Website Is

Juneau County Criminal History is a privately run reference resource, independent from every government office. It neither keeps official criminal records nor files documents, retrieves records, or performs official background checks for a visitor.

The resource identifies custodians such as the Juneau County Sheriff's Records Unit, Juneau County Circuit Court, Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Information Bureau, and Wisconsin Public Sex Offender Registry / WI Stay Safe. Official access remains subject to the Wisconsin Public Records Law, Wis. Stat. §§ 19.31-19.39, other applicable restrictions, and the custodian's process. Wisconsin criminal-history reporting to CIB is governed in part by Wis. Stat. § 165.83. Links to outside tools may also be provided for research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

  • Interfere with the website or prevent others from using it
  • Deploy a bot, scraper, or other automated collection tool against its pages
  • Attempt to enter systems or areas for which you lack authorization
  • Use website information to harass, stalk, threaten, or intimidate a person
  • Rely on its content for employment, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Violate any federal, Wisconsin, or local law through your use of the website

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked tool may not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also violate the law. This prohibition is especially important for Wisconsin Public Sex Offender Registry / WI Stay Safe information. Wisconsin DOC provides registry data for public-safety awareness, not vigilantism, blacklisting, housing discrimination, or misconduct directed at a registrant. Registry misuse may lead to criminal and civil consequences.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Juneau County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create credit reports, consumer reports, or official background checks. Neither the website nor its advertising partners provides a service designed to evaluate applicants, rental requests, insurance risk, or credit. You may not use information from the website or a linked search tool to:

  • Make a hiring, firing, or other employment decision
  • Evaluate a prospective renter or housing application
  • Set an insurance premium or assess creditworthiness
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other activity governed by the FCRA

A check required for one of those purposes must be obtained from an FCRA-compliant screening provider or the appropriate official channel, such as the Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Information Bureau when its product fits the lawful purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

Website content is informational and does not constitute legal advice. Although it describes how Juneau County records are commonly accessed, it cannot determine how Wisconsin law on a warrant, charge, conviction, sealing request, or expungement applies to a particular case. Consult a Wisconsin-licensed attorney for legal guidance.

The website and its content are offered "as is." No warranty is made that:

  • Pages will remain available without delay or interruption
  • Information will always be complete, correct, or up to date
  • Partner search results will be accurate or comprehensive
  • The website will contain no error, defect, or security vulnerability
